How many inspirations I feel every time I photograph a destination wedding in Marsala, Sicily.
During every photo shoot, I like to be versatile and use different photographic approaches, while always keeping the style that defines my work.
And that was exactly the case with Ipek and Joel’s wedding, a couple of few words but immediate clarity, simple and reserved.
Before their wedding day, we had only met through a video call, but I immediately sensed that they had a clear vision of their expectations and desires.
So we skipped the getting-ready part and started directly with a portrait session at the salt pans of Marsala, a unique place where you can truly breathe in the essence of Sicily. The sea breeze, the green vineyards, the blue sky, the pure white salt mountains, and the orange glow of the sun created the perfect setting for this beautiful love story between Joel and Ipek.
Right after that, we joined their guests at Villa Favorita, a beautiful and elegant venue, with excellent food and a highly professional staff.
From the very beginning of the celebration, the atmosphere was joyful, lively, and fun.
It was also a real pleasure for me to discover and photograph moments where Italian, Turkish, and Canadian cultures came together… in short, a truly diverse mix.
The elegance of this venue was enhanced by the touch of wedding and event planner Simona Filastò. It was a real pleasure to work with Simona, as she immediately proved to be helpful, kind, and truly professional.
Not to mention the entertainment by Alex & Flores Duo Canoro. Once again, they managed to engage everyone, absolutely everyone, with tireless energy and originality.
